Concept Comparison and Analysis across Theories Essay
The breast feeding profession has made some remarkable accomplishment during the 20th and 21st centuries, which has take to the recognition of nurse as an academic discipline. The move toward a theory- based practice has shifted the focus from the vocational view of treat to a more substantive and organized profession. As such, the knowledge and practice of breast feeding is embedded and guided by the theoretical framework of the profession. Theories to a fault give direction and purpose to the breast feeding profession, and they are developed to improve nursing criminal maintenance and education, and to deliver a basis for practice. A theory is an idea recommended to explain a phenomenon, interprets observation, defines relationships, and project progeny (Parker & Smith, 2010). The theories of nursing can be categorize in three areas (a) grand nursing theories, which gives abroad perspective to the goals and structure of nursing not meant to be slowly grasp or tested, (b) p osition range theories, contains fewer conception, and relationships are more applicable to nursing practice (c) practice level theories, which has more direct seismic disturbance on nursing practice than more abstract theories.Mid-range theories are both easily understood and applicable to the daily practice of nursing. For the purposes of this assignment, the core concepts of two middle range contemporary nursing theories will be highlighted and the concept definitions analyzed. One theory will be discussed along with its application to nursing practice, the theorys concept allegement, metaparadigms, philosophies, and conceptual model. Finally, nursing resources, and nursing knowledge from theorists are included in this paper to show the contri justions to nursing science.Core designA concept is a word or ideas that run a mental image to promote communication about a phenomenon and can be either experiential or abstract carry out (Walker & Avant 2011). Core concepts are the fundamental building blocks in the development of theories, as such theorists employ core concepts in the make for of theory advancement (George, 2011). The metaparadigm of nursing is composed of four main concepts they are somebody, health, environment, and nursing (George, 2011). The core concepts of the two contemporary nursing theories selected are Leiningers acculturation care theory, and Kolcabas comfort theory. These theories are considered middle range theories because they are more understandable and easier to apply to day-to-day nursing practice and may be used to suggest an intervention.Conversely, the grand theory is more extensive and provides a framework for organizing ideas (Smith & Liehr, 2008). Although health care has experienced numerous changes over the past decades, the sanctioned principle of nursing, caring for the sick, has not changed. With the addition of evidence-based care as a result of nursing research and extensive research by nursing theorists thi ther are additional components to nursing that nurses have to know and understand to provide excellent care. Unfamiliarity with someone elses goal can lead to feelings of caution and insecurity due to deviations in judgement, values and practices (Leininger (1991). These theorists view the patient as a whole and believe care should be administered from a holistic approach.Concept AnalysisLeininger is the innovator of the transcultural nursing movement in research, education, and practice. The overarching concept of this theory (culture) based discipline is intended to serve item-by-items, communities, establishments, and societies. In the 1950s, while workings in a child guidance home with troubled children and their parents, she observed retell patterns of behavior in children that seemed to have a cultural basis. She identified these repeated patterns as the missing link in nursing understands of knowledge and culture care that is required to support compliance, wellness, and healing. As a result of this experience, she pursued tho education in gay behaviors that led to the development of her transcultural nursing theory (George, 2011). Leininger (1991) defines Transcultural nursing as the comparative study of cultures to understandsimilarities (culture universal) and difference (culture-specific) across human groups With this definition as the foundation for her work, Leininger focused her practice on cultural care values, practices, and beliefs of individuals or groups of antithetic cultures. The goal of her theory is to provide nursing care that promotes health or well-being to help people faced with illness or death, in a culturally meaningful route (Leininger, 1995).Transcultural nursing is established on the basis that people of diverse cultures not only define ways in which they perceive and experience care, but how they relate these perceptions, and experiences to their general health (George, 2011 ). Kolcaba worked as the head nurse on an Alzheimer patient care unit she observed that patients were nonparticipants in some of their daily maintenance activities. This observation led to her development of the Comfort Care Therapy. Kolcabas comfort theory gives nurses the tools required to site the comfort requisites of patients and families and ways to meet those needs. Comfort, she opined, is the goal-directed action taken to address ones physiological, cultural, social, financial, spiritual, environmental and physical needs. Accordingly, if the patient needs time to voice concerns and questions, it is imperative that the nurse listens attentively and offers culturally appropriate cost increase and reassurance (Kolcaba, 2003).The ideas of early(a) nursing theorists (Orlando, Henderson, Patterson, and Zderdad) were employed to explain the three different types of comfort needs (1)ease-the state of calm and contentment, (2) relief-the state of having specific comfort need met and transcendence, and (3) transcend ence- that state in which one can rise above problems and pain( Parker & Smith, 2010). Because comfort is a primal human need, it essential be experienced in a holistic manner, and nurses who practice comfort care in their daily routine are innovative, effective, and satisfying to themselves and their patients. The contexts in which comfort need exist are physical, psycho-spiritual, socio-cultural, and environmental. Nurses are obligated for ensuring that patients are comfortable and safe because meeting the comfort needs of patients and their families leads to increased satisfaction, dedication and commitment to the organization (Kolcaba, 2003). Transcultural and Comfort theories focus on different aspects of patient care however, commonalities exist between the theories.Concept ComparisonIn comparing and analyzing the concept definitions among the two theories it is important to note that Leiningers goal of nursing care is to provide care consistent with the patients cultural va lues, practices, and beliefs. Nurses are often unaware of the cultural issues surrounding a patients health and need for care which results in a lack of sensitivity towards the patient. According to Leininger (1995), cultural proficiency begins with the examination of personal values, biases, prejudices, and beliefs of the caregiver. Leiningers theory was created to establish cultural competency among nurses and other caregivers because it is important to have contact and communication with people of other cultures, thus creating awareness. One important factor of nursing care is the engagement with individuals of different cultures by asking questions prior to providing care. The failure to include culture into patient care increases the possibility of mistrust by patient and resentment from the health care provider. Comfort and trust strengthen when nurses consider cultural preferences during patient care (Andrews & Boyle, 1999).Contrariwise, Kolcabas comfort theory is viewed from a holistic approach. The four areas of the human experience are addressed are the physical, which includes all physiological scopes, the psycho-spiritual, which is self-awareness, the sociocultural, which includes the family, interpersonal relationships, traditions, rituals, and religious practices and the environment( Kolcaba, 2003). Cultural sensitivities are important to patients and families, and they are allowing for significant moments to remember a nurse. Nurses also reflect on these moments which give them feelings of satisfaction. Nurses can show small, non-technical acts of comfort for example a back massage, holding a dying patients hand, washing hair, sitting with an yearning patient and holding a crying child for a parent. Each of these gestures is an example of holistic comfort measures that will have a positive jolt on a patients total comfort (Kolcaba, 2003).Like patients, nurses have comfort need which includes a safe and clean work environment, tenaciousness of care, flexible schedules, and resources for educational improvement. Kolcabas comfort model allows nurses to be a part of the decision making process and in-turn provide feedback and support for staff. These comfort measures for nurses provide a strong nursing department and which teamwork and paid goals are fostered(Kolcaba, 2003). The core of these two theories is care, which is the unifying feature of the nursing profession.Concept rehearsal, Metaparadigms, PhilosophiesThe selected theory is Leiningers culture care theory. Leininger is one of the first transcultural, global, nursing consultant and is the founder of transcultural nursing, the transcultural nursing society, and the journal of transcultural nursing. Culture influences every aspect of human life and defines health, illness, and the search from relief from diseases (George, 2011). Culture can be applied to all aspects of health care both in inpatient and outpatient settings. Because of the culturally diverse popula tion in the United States and other first world countries, it is of vital importance that culture care is a part of the curriculum for nursing and other health science related field.Due to health concepts related to cultural groups, people may not choose modern day medical interference and cures therefore it is important to educate the communities about culture care. This theory may be best applied to nursing practice by first educating nursing students to develop an understanding, appreciation, and respect for the diversity and individuality of patients values, beliefs, and culture regarding illness, treatment and outcome. Extensive training in hospitals and outpatient settings for all nurses, and health care providers is of vital importance.Concept StatementCulturally consistent nursing care is meaningful and appropriate to the cultural beliefs, values and traditions of patients for their health and comfort. Nurses should perform a culture care assessment on admission to determin e the scope of care for the patient while in hospital (Leininger, 1995).MetaparadigmsHealth is a state of living to sustain and help the individual perform their daily care in a culturally beneficial way (Leininger (1995). The environment is defined as the totality of geophysical situation (p. 10). She describes nursing as a learned, humanistic and scientific discipline focused on human care activities. Leininger, however, does not define the concept of person he states the person is not culturally suitable in many cultures. Thephilosophy of nursing is founded on the scope of practice for the profession, and the values individuals hold as basic to their belief in nursing theory (Fitzpatrick & Whall, 2005). Leiningers philosophy is that there are similarities and differences in culture, which should be explores in relation to ones values, beliefs, and traditions.ResourcesA website has been dedicated to the housing of vast amount of information on Leiningers theory. This site contains valuable information on culture theory and transcultural nursing. Additionally, Leiningers work, research, and publications are all feature on the website. Leininger is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), an honor society for nursing, was founded in 1922 it is the second largest of its kind in the United States. The mission of this organization is to support the learning, knowledge, and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in health care worldwide.ConclusionThe conceptual and theoretical models used in nursing provide information on ways to improve practice, develop curriculum and identify goals of nursing practice. The area of nursing theory is experiencing continued growth as theorists continue to create new knowledge that is impacting, positively, the nursing profession. Nurses can no longer afford to provide care as usual but must use new knowledge, skills, and insights to provide nursing care that is culturally relevant and sensiti ve to the needs of patients. As the complexity and acuity of patients continue to rise, it is notable that a community of practice is established that utilizes strategies that promote the transcultural and comfort needs of both nursing staff and patients. Twenty-first century nursing practice demands that nurses identify and meet the comfort and cultural needs of all patients, family and community. Further, nurses must develop the knowledge and skills that will enable them to provide acceptable care and to identify addressable resources for the patient.

Commedia Delââ¬â¢Arte Essay
Columbina is the perky maid of the Old Man, Pantal ace. She is better dressed than the male servants as she is to a fault a ladys maid. She ordinarily wears a knee length dress and an apron. The colouring of her clothes dirty dog be different in different acts, dep closinging on her relationships with the characters and the scenario. She can be in a similar scheme to Arlecchino (where she is sometimes known as Arlecchina with similar diamonds and triangles), or if she is assigned to a rival family of Arlecchinos, she can be in that scheme. In cases where she is an independent character, she can be in blacks and whites in the spirit of a French Maid.Columbina does not usually wear a mask b atomic number 18ly sometimes wears one covering only her eyes. Her signature props ar a tambourine and a basket. Her physical behavior is enchanting, perky and petite with a tiny waist, wide hips and lots of cleavage. She walks as if she is skipping on air with a little flick of the foot at the end of separately step. All her posses are usually seductive and accentuate her cleavage. Her movement continues during speaking, shifting balance from one foot to the some other and moving her head sharply as if searching for someone other than the person macrocosm addressed. Shes fast and nimble in order to escape unwanted attentions or to basis in, and can escape from a situation. She is happy and carefree, yet when assigned a task moves with speed and efficiency. This is one of her strongest traits in being a good servant. Her row is sharp and gossipy with frequent variations of pitch. She Loves Arlecchino, alone sees through him. She at that placefore scolds him, punishes him, deserts him, takes him back, but in the end he does not change and she has to accept him for what he is, which is still more lovable than Il Dottore, Pantalone and Il Capitano. She can be actually affectionate to other characters as well, and her affections seem to f subaltern through her physica lly, but she always holds something back. As a result she is pestered by other men, especially Il Capitano and Pantalone. She is always ready to help the Lovers, perhaps through earthy sympathy with their plight. She is a spectator herself. She has a very strong relationship with the audience, more or less confidential in the sense that she too can see what fools the live of them are. She also often flirts with the spectators. She appears almost if not before her name is called, always being on step ahead of her master and finishes sentences for her master too, which she sometimes uses in her favour. When a situation gets out of control, she becomes the dominant voice to put everyone and everything back in its place. She even up beats the male characters in strength and intelligence, sometimes even her master.ISABELLAIsabella is the daughter of Pantalone, the old man. Because of her fathers status she had the newest fashion, and usually showed off her wardrobe, wigs and shoes ofte n. She wore stunning silk dresses, often in antique Renaissance style with necklaces of gold and pearls. She is young and attractive and modest but at times can be selfish. Isabella did not usually wear a mask but did sometimes wear a small mask that covered only her eyes. Her signature props are a handkerchief, book and a fan. She has a lack of pixilated contact with the earth. Her breast and heart appear heavy. They are full of breath, but then take little pants on top. Her posture is correct and tall and is always very proud. Her walk is small as her steps are little.Isabellas posses are of an innocent and happy nature leaning to one side with one degree pointed outwards, and hands in praying position touching cheek as if sleeping. Another is the back of her hand on her forehead, tilted back as if in agony as well as her chin resting on hands laying on top of each other or fingers interlocked and the head slightly tilted. Her movements are exaggerated, especially her hands and a rms, which are likefeathers flapping in the wind. She often manipulates her hankie and frequently looks in a hand mirror. Any imperfection can spell disaster. Her speech is refined, however lacking pretentiousness and is never lost for the correct phrase. The lovers are in love with themselves being in love. They love each other, but are more preoccupied with being seen as lovers. They often feign mild hatred. She is extremely aware of being watched and plays with the audience for sympathy in their plight and ccasionally flirts with spectators. She is flirtatious, headstrong, has dramatic intensity and feigned madness due to passionate love and can be prudish. She can be hot and cold. i.e. prone to idea swings and is a tease with an independent will. She is vain, petulant, spoilt, full of doubt and have very little patience. She has a masochistic enjoyment of enforced separation because it enables her to dramatize their situation, lament, moan, cast messages, and so forth When her an d Lelio do meet they are almost always tongue-tied and need interpreters who proceed to misinterpret their statements, either through stupidity (Zanni), malicious hope for revenge (Brighella) or calculated self-interest (Columbina). Isabellas attention span is short like a young childs and her fear that she capability be a nobody keeps her hyper-animated.ARLECCHINOArlecchino has an enduring magical power, a testimony perhaps to the mystery of it origin. He is a servant and jester, usually to Pantalone, but also frequently IlCapitano, or Il Dottore. He wears a tight-fitting long tip and trousers, sewn over with random, odd-shapen patches of green, yellow, red and brown possibly remnants of leaves The jacket is laced down the front with a thong and caught by a black belt worn very low on the hips. The shoes are flat and black. He wears a beret, or later a malleable felt hat with a narrow brim, with a feather or seat of a fox, apparently this was a sign of the wearer being a butt of ridicule.Coloured in deep earth tones with warm coloured diamond influence patches, Arlecchino is always ready to spring into action in a clumsy yet approvingful manner. He is ragged, yet sleek. His wears a mask that gives him a low forehead with a wart and has small round eyes.Arlecchinos signature props included his batocchio, meaning in Italian clapper inside the bell, which he always carries. He is continuously in a lowered position, with his hands on his hips with his thumbs in his belt. He walks in sly and comical way by taking a couple steps followed by a debauched tip toe. This walk shows alacrity he also uses it to show off in front of Columbina. His joints are often loose and floppy. When Arlecchino spots someone, the mask moves first he then hops round and into the gesture of greeting. He is physically quick and slow mentally, in contrast with Brighella (who can, however, be fast physically when he needs to be). His gestures extend to the fingertips with each digit h aving a separate articulation. His speech is cacophonic and hoarse from street hawking and the are no pauses or silences for the sake of effect he either speaks continuously or doesnt speak at all.Arlecchino is in love with Columbina, but his sexual appetite is immediate in terms of any passing woman. He is occasionally aware the audience is there and can make asides during which he gives his full attention to the spectators before returning to complete absorption in the action. His character is a mixture of ignorance, naivete, wit, stupidity and grace. He is both a rake and an overgrown boy with occasional gleams of intelligence, and his mistakes and clumsiness often have wayward charm. His acting is patterned on the lithe, agile grace of a young cat, and he has a superficial coarseness which makes his performances all the more amusing. He plays the role of a faithful valet, always patient, credulous, and greedy. He is enternally amorous, and is invariably in difficulties either on his own or on his masters account. He is hurt and confronted in turn as easily as a child, and his grief is almost as comic as his joy.LelioLelio is one of the lovers (Isabellas partner) and is usually the son of Il Dottore or has no relations. He is tall in stature, but is usually brought low by the hopelessness of his infatuation. He wears the latest fashion, which at that time was to be dresses as a young pass or cadet. Sometimes he dressed in an over fashionable colour scheme that was very feminine with a great deal of flair.Lelio is young, attractive, modest, genteel and gallant. He occasionally wears a mask that covers only his eyes but often went unmasked. His signature prop is a handkerchief. His feet have a lack of firm contact with the earth, making his stance and walk air like. His chest and heart appear heavy and full of breath. His legs are usually tightly together, with only one foot firmly planted on the ground, and the other crawling upward like he has to go to the loo. He does not walk as much as tweeter, due to the instability of his base. First the head leans the other way to the body sway. Then the arms have to be used, one above the other, as a counterweight like and off balance tip toe.His pose can be anything that might look Vogue and whenever he is sitting, his legs are get across in a feminine matter.Lelios movements are well-to-do but ridiculously exaggerated. His movement comes at the point of overbalance, leading to a sideways pot towards a new focus, with his arms left trailing behind. When stopping at the new point (usually the beloved or some token thereof) before almost touching it. The Lovers (he and Isabella) have little or no physical contact. When there is any, the minimum has maximum effect.Lelio is often holding a handkerchief or flower, etc. in his leading hand. His arms never make identical shapes and because of his vanity, hefrequently looks in a hand mirror, only to become upset by any minor imperfection that i s discovered. He is always looking to see if a ribbon or sequin is out of place. A button comprise on the floor or a blemish in the coiffure equals disaster. His speech makes great display of courtly words and baroque metaphors, also discerning large extracts of poems by heart. He speaks softly in musical sentences which are often flamboyant, hyperbolical and full of amorous rhetoric. When it comes to women, his words are the only thing that shows that he might have any interest. His body language, actions, tone, all contradict any infatuation he may have with a female. The only reason why he would express an interest in a female is because he loves the idea of love. However he seems genuinely more in love with himself and other male characters before he is in love with a woman. He relate exclusively to himself he is in love with himself being in love. The function person he actually relates to in the course of the action is often Isabella. When he and she do meet they have great d ifficulty in communication with each other (usually because of the nerves). And they relate to their servants only in terms of pleading for help. The Lovers love each other, yet are more preoccupied with being seen as lovers, undergoingall the hardships of being in such a plight, than with actual fulfilment. Consequently they frequently scorn each other and feign mild hatred they rebut, despair, reconcile, but eventually end up marrying in the way of true love when the game is up and they know they cannot play any more.Lelio is extremely aware of being watched. He plays with the audience for sympathy in their plight and occasionally flirts with spectators.Lelio is indispensable. Without him and his inability to resolve problems with Isabella, there would be no struggle between the ineffectuality of young person and the implacability of age. The lovers are never alone on stage they always have someone with them or spying on them.

Evaluation Of Work In Progress â⬠Blue Remembered Hills Essay
For the past term and a half I present been studying Blue Remembered Hills as part of my Drama Coursework and a couple of weeks ago I performed an extract from the play with three fellow students. I leave alone be writing ab give away my Work In Progress and how thoroughly we worked together as a group to make our performance successful. To do this I will be focusing on the rehearsal serve well and the final performance. The Rehearsals. The rehearsals went actually well, with steady progress through tabu each session. The main strengths were the undivided groups capacity to pick up words, stage directions and changes quickly, for example when we decided to use a domino effect for our entrance. This effect was put in close to the end of our whole rehearsal exploit but we never had any problems with it and no one forgot it either. We also had all our lines learnt by the fourth lesson which meant we could get on with focusing on our stage directions and reference book analysis.Ou r main weaknesses were our character analysis, for example one of our group members found it intemperately to perform as his character because his personality was very diametrical to his characters and his al-Quran was a slight issue as well. I also found it hard to perform as my character because at the beginning I would let the status slip slightly at the wrong moment and I wasnt seen as the bully anymore, I would also arouse to be cargonful about my pitch because I was playing a boy and some(prenominal)times my voice would come off girly and high pitched. One of our main problems was that some of us had early(a) commitments wish well work or clubs that made it hard to organise lunchtime or after school rehearsals this affected our rehearsal process because when we managed to organise a rehearsal it had to be a short one or someone might cook forgotten or not been qualified to make it, so it was hard for our teacher to asses our work and give us feedback if there was someo ne missing. We over came our problem by working extra hard in our lesson time so we could pay off for it that way. We also tried to work outside a lot so it could help us guess our surroundings and the sort of things a seven division old would do outside.I found my strengths were my tycoon to incorporate ideas into our work and give constructive criticism. I move intot feel there was a directors role because we all had ideas and were able to give each other advice on their character build up. I felt I was able to help the group improve practise by asking for line reruns and workshops to improve our overall characters. My main weakness was character analysis (as above) mainly because, as a group, we didnt do enough character analysis and this could have helped me.I feel my contribution benefited the rehearsal process because I could keep the group focused on a task and I was a good team player. I fell I could have helped others in my group more without feeling I was going to offe nd them because it affects the whole group dynamics if one person is unsure and it shouldnt have to be a hindrance. The demands of working in a group are to not mess around or waste time, because you have to put as much effort in as your group members otherwise it isnt fair, and you are putting the whole group in jeopardy and therefore are not able to make a satisfactory performance. The PerformanceIn our final performance the domino effect worked really well as gap the scene because it gave us all the energy we needed to open the scene as seven year old boys. The thing that didnt work well was the dirt on the floor, the sticks were fine, it was just the debris and mud on the floor that didnt work. We put it there to make the scene more site-specific but it was gratuitous because we didnt need to use it as a prop and had to sweep it up afterwards as well Our strengths as a group was our ability to stay in character even when we werent speaking because this helped to keep the energy levels high and keep the performance interesting. As an individual performance my strengths were my volume and diction because I felt I carried my words out so everyone could hear me. My weaknesses were my body language and pitch because I would often slip out of my characters voice and body language. For example when I am fighting with John I would lead from my chest which isnt manly. I felt our group created a performance that clearly expressed a theme suited to our target audience. We achieved this by developing skills which enabled us to broaden our minds and act as seven year olds.I was able to play my character because My voice was mainly boyish and I was able to pull off bully mannerisms My body language was like a seven year old because instead of sitting I would squat, or I would fold my arms to show stroppiness when someone does something I dont like My facial expressions suited the mood I was in or the situation that was happening, like when the atmosphere dropped when ev eryone looked at the squirrel in guilt I changed my facial expression to look uncomfortable or guilty My gestures were large and clumsy like that of a child like when we were trying to get the squirrel out of the tree I would wave my stick or hurl stones at it And my interactions with others on stage were that of a higher status character and sometimes very nasty because I was a bully and carried the higher status, likely after my fight with John I stuck my tongue out at him and made other nasty gestures towards him.Overall I felt that my performance and our overall work in progress was a success and we worked very well as a group to make our performance successful.

Computerized Grading System Essay
Automation has had a notable impact in a liberal range of industries beyond manufacturing (where it began). Once-ubiquitous telephone operators have been replaced largely by automatize telephone switchboards and answering machines. Medical processes such as primary screening in electrocardiography or radiography and laboratory analysis of human genes, sera, cells, and tissues are carried out at much greater speed and accuracy by automated systems. Applying automation to Grading systems wherein it will also make a task easy and accurate.Education must share the responsibility of developing technologically literate people (Bitter & Legacy, 2008). Both systemic reform and curriculum cannot be achieved without the aid of technology (Fletcher & Wolf, 2007). Grading and reporting are relatively recent phenomena in education. In fact, prior to 1850, grading and reporting were virtually unknown in schools in the Philippines. Throughout much of the nineteenth century most schools grouped st udents of all ages and backgrounds together with one t distributivelyer in one-room schoolhouses, and few students went beyond elementary studies. The teacher reported students learning progress orally to parents, usually during visits to students homes (Guskey).Researches in learning assessment, oddly in terms of academic performance, have long criticized traditional rating schemes that provide feedback to students. Because learning is multi-faceted, most critiques of such formats tend to see these as dilettante and inadequate arguing that they tend to cover only the areas in learning that are widely rated, leaving other areas in learning under-assessed. As a result, different systems were proposed and varying rating structures were employed by different schools in the country such as point system averaging and weighted averaging. This school year, the subdivision of Education (DepEd) will be using a new grading system in public elementary and high schools in connection to the effectuation of K to 12 BEC (Basic Education Curriculum) program. The traditional numerical values in report cards will be replaced by letter-scheme grading system, with A (abbreviated right level of proficiency) as the highest grade and B (short for Beginning) as the lowest. In the event that this format will be fully implemented in the purport school, which in this proposal will be San Isidro Elementary School, the workload of the teachers will be increased because they will have to compute for the numeric equivalent of each letter grades. The proponents of this proposal wish to reduce their workload by eliminating the need for manual computation and recording of each grade. The common problems encountered in manual recording and computations are error- and file-handling, and redundancy. As the workload gradually increases with growing amounts of grades and student lists that need to be attended, it becomes tedious on the part of the teacher to proficiently manage them in time f or documentation and file submission to higher education authorities. As such, this paper aims to produce a workable computerized grading system that will goal these issues.
